Islam: Another peaceful religion or a cult of terror? You decide.

The Database of Terrorist Websites and eGroups (DTWE)
A screenshot of the famous Database of Terrorist Websites and eGroups (DTWE). As of January 1, 2005, 500 terrorist websites and eGroups have been exposed and more are being exposed every year. This is the biggest list of terrorist websites and eGroups ever created.
In the 1980s and 1990s, Islamic terrorists began to acquire new and advanced technologies that could better help them wage war against the civilized world. One of these technologies is the internet. The internet was a secret project created in 1969 by the US Military as a communications network. By the mid-1990s, the internet was opened to public use and today serves as not only a communications network, but also a place where people may spread their views, buy products, build their own homepages, and also engage in malicious crimes such as hacking, spamming, and sending viruses to people. The internet is also not at all a safe place and it is perhaps one of the best places for getting tracked by someone or tracking someone down.

Thus, as the internet was opened to public use, it was also opened to criminals, terrorists, and others who wanted to use it in malicious ways. By 1996, Islamic terrorists began to make use of this new innovation and it has been well-documented that Al-Qaeda members, including the 9/11 attackers, used the internet for communications.
By the late 1990s, nearly all Islamic terrorist groups used the internet to some extent. Some of these groups still exist and no action has been taken against them. With every year, more and more terrorist websites, forums, and eGroups pop up online. Many of these groups are created by either members of Islamic terrorist organizations or Islamic civilians that sympathize with them. There are several kinds of terrorist websites, forums, and eGroups:

1) Propaganda Sites. A majority of easy-to-find terrorist websites, forums, and eGroups are used for propaganda purposes by the terrorists and terrorist sympathizers in order to gain support and to recruit people into their organizations, and/or to attempt to gain sympathy from Leftist Westerners. The terrorists also use these sites to make their presence in the cyber world known.

2) Communication Sites. Some harder-to-find terrorist websites, forums, and eGroups are used for communication purposes. These sites often mask themselves at URLs that are not to easy to spot out. Terrorist organizations often use these places to discuss topics, plans, and other issues that they do not want non-Muslims to hear.

Zacarius Moussaoui (known as the twentieth hijacker) was among the 9/11 attackers that used the internet to communicate with other Al-Qaeda members.
3) Communication Chatrooms. Terrorists also use chatrooms to discuss secret topics among themselves. Because there are countless chatroom services, including Yahoo, MSN, PalTalk (even a murder was committed on here, but we'll get to that later), Bravenet (personal chatrooms for websites), AOL, and countless others. Most of these services have countless chatrooms within them, so finding a real terrorist communications room is extremely hard.

4) Hacker Sites. These are the best hidden kinds of terrorist websites, forums, and eGroups. Since 1998, Indian and Pakistani hacker groups have been at war. This new kind of war is called "Cyber War" because it occurs over cyber space. In 2000, this war spread to include nearly all Islamic hacker groups, but also groups on the allied side: Israeli hacker groups, and by 2001, American and British hacker groups. Today, there are countless Islamic hacker groups, who, as time goes by, are gaining experience, and are becoming an increasing threat to cyber installations of governments and militaries of non-Muslim countries, especially the United States, Israel, India, and Britain.

After September 11, 2001, many Americans, as well as other Westerners gained an interest in terrorism (for an obvious reason) and some went to the internet, where they created many anti-terrorist websites, forums, eGroups, and chatrooms. By late 2001 and early 2002, countless anti-terrorist websites had sprung up. Now, many chatrooms, especially Islamic chatrooms, became filled with anti-terrorists and new websites, forums, and eGroups opposing terrorism created even more problems for the terrorists. In 2002, many of the ISPs of these anti-terrorist organizations and groups, especially Yahoo, began to ban these websites, forums, and eGroups for issues such as "racism". In fact, some anti-terrorist sites would be banned less than one month after they would be created. On the other hand, websites, forums, and eGroups that promoted and even encouraged the killing of Americans, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, and other non-Muslims were untouched by those very same ISPs for months and even years.
In fact, even today, terrorist sites from 1997, 1998, and 1999 have remained online, despite being reported to their ISPs by anti-terrorist organizations and anti-terrorists. The ATC opened up on April 30, 2003, first as a Yahoo Group, but it was then banned on May 16, 2003, along with its websites which were created in early May 2003. As proof of this, check out the current ATC Yahoo Group. Notice that the day it was created was "May 16, 2003". As you can see, this is proof that the ATC Yahoo Group was banned by the pro-terrorist ISP, Yahoo! Now, check out the third page of http://atdatabase.r8.org/. Notice the Yahoo Group "Palestine's Issues" (about half way down the page). Notice the description that was posted on that eGroup: "The true reality of today in the Jewish-ruled United Snakes of Jewishized America!". The Database of Terrorist Websites and eGroups
Also, as you can see, this page was created on March 11, 1999. The website on which this forum is listed on is known as The Database of Terrorist Websites and eGroups (DTWE), the internet's most famous list exposing terrorist websites, forums, and eGroups. It was built in early and mid-2004 (five years after that terrorist group "Palestine's Issues" was opened)! Now suppose that Yahoo did not understand the terrorist threat before 9/11; Yahoo still had over two and a half years to take action against this eGroup, yet it did not. However, in this time period, it sure had enough time to ban the only ten member strong and two week old organization "Americans Speak Out." If you're still not convinced, then check out the famous Database of Terrorist Websites and eGroups! Note that on April 19, 2004, when this database was opened, all terrorist websites, forums, and eGroups listed in it were active and over 200 out of the original 352 exposed on the day this database opened were Yahoo eGroups! So, is the American company Yahoo pro-Islamic terrorist or is it pro-America? You decide.

Note that Yahoo is one out of countless Western ISPs that has been hosting terrorists and it is also not the only Western ISP by far that has double standards when it comes to racism! Remember, on Yahoo and many other Western ISPs, racism is only okay for Islamic terrorists and other kinds of terrorists, including the KKK, Neo-Nazis, and others of this kind. That's right, Yahoo also hosts countless KKK and Neo-Nazi Groups! This also means that Non-Muslims, anti-terrorists, and anti-racists do not have the right to be "racist" against terrorists and racists (which Yahoo has also proudly hosted for the past several years)!

Up until mid and late-2004, the number of terrorist websites, forums, and eGroups hosted by Western IPs has been increasing heavily. However, due to the persistence of countless anti-terrorists, including the ATC, DTWE, Internet Haganah, and many others, Western ISPs have slowly begun to take action against the terrorist and racist websites, forums, and eGroups that they hosted. While this is an improvement, much work still has to be done and unless anti-terrorists continue to repeatedly inform ISPs to stop hosting terrorist and racist sites, an increase of them will once again resume. In addition, Western ISPs still continue to ban anti-terrorist websites, forums, and eGroups for reasons such as "racism".

In the past half year, the terrorists have responded to their loss of their naive and dense Western hosts by creating their own hosts and hosting companies in their own countries. Both Malaysia and Pakistan have been experiencing a major hosting company boom in the last year. One such company is the very well-known "Acme Commerce Sdn. Bhd." This company was found to be hosting several terrorist websites, forums, and eGroup in 2004 and they were all listed in Database of Terrorist Websites and eGroups. This was perhaps one of the first Islamic hosting companies. Today, more and more are showing up and they are all taking in terrorists that are finally facing action from Western ISPs. Unfortunately, since these Islamic hosts are located in Islamic countries, where the governments of these countries often support and harbor terrorists, it is almost impossible to take any legal action against these hosts. Thus, the terrorists finally have a more or less permanent base online. However, High-Ranking DTWE Members believe that by continuously exposing terrorists websites, forums, and eGroups, the terrorists may be forced to relocate their websites, which will disrupt their activities.

Click here to go to the Anti-Terrorism Coalition!  While legal action can be taken against terrorist websites, forums, and eGroups that are hosted on Western ISPs, chatrooms hosted on Western ISPs are a lot much harder to police. Each major Chatroom service may have up to thousands of chatrooms. This does not include the smaller services, which also have a considerable number of chatrooms. Because terrorist chatrooms are much harder to find than almost any terrorist websites, forums, or eGroups, this makes them the ideal place for
terrorists to communicate and to use them in other ways. Not only are these chatrooms hard to find, but most of them have poor security. In fact they have such poor security that there have been countless incidents in which hackers and cyber terrorists used simple programs to both boot chat members and hack into their computers. Moreover, in January 2005, cyber-Islamic terrorists tracked down an Arab Christian who went and advocated for Christianity in a certain chatroom on PalTalk and brutally murdered him and his family! This proves that terrorists are not only using Western ISPs to communicate, possibly plan terrorist attacks, and spread their vile propaganda, but they are also using them to track down civilians and brutally murder them! Not only does this mean that Western ISPs have failed to police their chatrooms, but they have a major problem with their security!

Hacking is not at all new for the Islamic terrorists. In addition to the fact that anti-terrorist websites, forums, and eGroups have been banned by their own Western ISPs since 2001 and 2002 (when they began to show up in great numbers), Islamic hacker groups have also participated in bringing them down. By late 2002, numerous very popular anti-terrorist websites, forums, and eGroups were shut down by Islamic hacker groups. It was in late 2002 that a decrease in anti-terrorism online began and many anti-terrorists believe that the combination of Western ISPs with double standards on racism and terrorism (such as Yahoo) and also Islamic hacker groups were responsible for the start of this decrease in cyber anti-terrorism. Today, there are less and less anti-terrorists left online and some anti-terrorists, including Former ATC Presidents Stalfos and Benyamin B, as well as current ATC President Robert Johnson have all predicted that by mid-2006, there will be as many anti-terrorists left online as there were before 9/11-A very horrible thought: Did we not learn anything from 9/11? Did 3000 Americans die for nothing? Justice has not yet been done!

On June 27, 2003, Islamic hackers struck the ATC, FAI, and many other anti-terrorist websites, forums, and eGroups. The attacks lasted through June 29 and the ATC and FAI were down for nearly a week before returning on different URLs. In the aftermath of the attacks, an estimated 8 to 27 websites were hacked down. This earned the attacks their name: The 8-27 Terrorist Attacks. The ATC remained on its host Super Verticals (and on subdomains of showsit.info) until January 11, 2005. On that day, the FAI was the first to be shut down by a large group of Islamic hackers and other terrorist individuals. The ATC and DTWE were both taken completely offline on the following two days when the attackers destroyed the host, Super Verticals. While the official website of the host was unharmed, all domains offered by the host (subdomains were used by individuals of a selection of domains) were destroyed. In addition to this, terrorists later bought the domain showsit.info, on which the ATC, FAI, DTWE, ATCI/ATI, and numerous other websites were hosted. Showsit was turned into a porn site. In the aftermath of the attacks, the ATC, DTWE, and other affiliates remained down for six weeks (until February 26, 2005).

These were just the two major hacker attacks that the ATC has had to endure. Throughout the years, terrorists have also attempted to send viruses via the ATC Yahoo Group, as well as many other more minor cyber terrorist attacks on just the ATC, DTWE, FAI, and other affiliates alone. Of course the ATC and its affiliates are also just several targets for the Islamic hacker groups. These groups go back to as 1997 and even earlier. In fact, even back then, these groups were very powerful. In May 1998, Pakistani hackers struck the Bhabha Atomic Research Center website (an Indian website), fueling a cyber war between Indian and Pakistani hackers. These groups have, since then, been in an almost constant state of war. By 2001, this war came to include all Islamic hacker groups, but also groups on the allied side, including: American, Israeli, British, Australian, and other Western hacker groups. Islamic hacker groups have been gaining more experience and increasing capability to strike cyber governmental and military installations of countries such as India, Britain, Australia, Israel, and even the United States.

While Islamic hackers are a major threat to national security, the majority of terrorist websites, forums, and eGroups, is, nevertheless that of propaganda websites. Not only are these websites used for spreading hate, false facts, and other kinds of Islamic terrorist propaganda, but they are also used for recruiting people into terrorist organizations and groups, as well as converting non-Muslims to Islam and later turning them into active terrorists. Nearly all terrorist groups build propaganda websites, forums, and eGroups which they use for reaching Muslims that live in Western countries, making their presence known, and brainwashing Muslims and even non-Muslims alike. The terrorist organization Hizbullah even made a game for children to play. The game is called "Special Force" and has a website (http://specialforce.net). According to the second page of The Database of Terrorist Websites and eGroups (DTWE),

Jewish convert to Islam and Hamas supporter Yousef Al-Khattab (Joseph Cohen) and family. Is it a coincidence that a Jew who converted to Islam became a Hamas supporter? That's right, after converting to Islam, a Jew now supports the murder of other Jews!
the website is owned by a Hizbullah webmaster. This is just one of many examples of how terrorists use the internet to brainwash all kinds of people, including children.

Another kind of Islamoganda online is the website of Yousef Al-Khattab, a Hamas member who happens to be a Jewish convert to Islam (formerly known as Joseph Cohen). Cohen was born to an Orthodox Jewish family in Brooklyn, New York. Cohen married in 1991 and in 1998, he and his family moved to the Islamic occupied Gaza Strip, Israel. Soon he and his family converted to Islam and began supporting Hamas. Today, Cohen operates the website Jewstoislam.com and the Yahoo Group Yousef_alkhattab. Today, Cohen is just a small part of a major terrorist effort (partly online) to brainwash young Jews, Christians, Hindus, and other non-Muslims into converting to Islam. Moreover, Cohen sees Judaism as a "Rabbinical racist cult"!

Al-Qaeda also has its fair share of propaganda sites, including JihadUnspun, Shareeah, OBL Crew, and many others. For a major list of these websites, please check out The Database of Terrorist Websites and eGroups (DTWE). As usual, Al-Qaeda blames America for helping Israel defend itself from Islamic terrorism and for not ending the "occupation" of Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. They use these reasons to defend their attacks on America starting with the 1993 WTC bombing, the embassy
attacks, the U.S.S Cole attack, and the 9/11 attacks. In fact, all terrorist propaganda sites have one thing in common with their propaganda: They claim that Muslims are victims of "Western Imperialism" and that all Muslims must unite and attack non-Muslims to save Islam from "oppression". (For more on this, make sure to check out our sections on Islam, America, and Israel). These websites also tend to not mention what the Koran states about non-Muslims in order to mislead unsuspecting non-Muslims and draw them to their side. So-called "Western Imperialism" or "occupation" have been the most commonly accepted motives of Al-Qaeda and other Islamic terrorist organizations and in order to make sure that they stay this way, these terrorists have created and continued to create these propaganda sites in order to continue to successfully mislead the majority of Westerners.

However, this is the real motivation for the actions of all Islamic terrorist groups (online and offline): "And He [Allah] made you heirs to their land and their dwellings and their property, and (to) a land which you have not yet trodden, and Allah has power over all things." -Koran 33.27.
